A long, long time ago my mother's family grew the food that made america "corn fed". These were hard people used to grinding the days away tilling the land, chopping wood to keep warm and raising 7 to 12 babies in a lifetime. These were also the people that made the american midwest what it is today...hearty, healthy and proud.

Notice, if you will, the second person from the left. There is a striking resemblance between her and my sister. Click here to see a comparison. The funny thing is, my mother was adopted. Go figure.
