Basic Film Requirements for Packaging 1. Composite Plate Ready Film. We print all of our products using four color process ink. The four inks are: Cyan, Yellow, Magenta and Black (CMYK). We need one complete piece of film for each specific ink. This means that all color separations, halftones, type, etc. need to be stripped together and composted. 2. The film must be in printer's spread, film negative, right reading, emulsion side down (dull side down, shiny side up). 3. The recommended line screen (dots per inch) is 150 or 175. 4. A color match must be sent with each individual job. In Record Time, Inc. will not be responsible for colors if a color match print is not furnished. Also, a mock-up needs to be furnished for page placement, folding, etc. A blue line is recommended. Computer generated proofs such as; IRIS, Thermal Proof, etc. are not acceptable for color proofs. 5. The pricing structure is based on gang running jobs. This is when two or more jobs are printed at the same time on the same form. All jobs are guaranteed for pleasing color, not match color. In Record Time, Inc. offers match color printing at commercial rates (Call for quotes).
6. Templates are enclosed within our pricing catalog for layout purposes. All film must be to the exact specification of the job you are having printed plus 1/16" to 1/8" bleed for trimming purposes. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call In Record Time, Inc. 212-262-4414. Back to Pre-Production Specifications |
