Radio Station Interview:
Elizabeth Town College WWEC 88.3 FM
February 6th, 1999

One of the lovely rural locations you can find Wooster Sang carousing about is Elizabethtown, PA. Above, Steve is with DJs Val(l.) and Meredith(r.) at the local radio station, WWEC, 88.3 at Elizabethtown College. The folks there have been great and we've been back twice, including doing a benefit concert for them that was a great success. We hope to keep returning. Dana Thomas, station manager, has been a great help, as has Aaron Marble and Chris Ashworth. Sorry no pic's guys.
At left, Peter, Craig, Val, and Steve during the interview. The band has a lot of fun doing interviews as it allows for us to express ourselves verbally, since we're so use to expressing ourselves musically, and gives us a chance to speak passionately about this entity we believe so much in- Wooster Sang. Ahhhh!.... We just like to hear ourselves talk.
At right are the contestants in the 1st Annual Wooster Sang Beauty Contest(l. to r. DJ Dan, Val, Peter, Steve, Craig, Meredith, Racine). Yes, we are happy to report that we had two winners...Val and Meredith...sorry, Dan. However, the members of WS all received, rather graciously I might add, runner-up awards: Peter for his ability to have blonde hair and a red goatee, Steve for his interpretation of Darth Vader as played by Robert DeNiro, Craig for...well, for being Craig...I mean look at the guy, and Racine for being able to piss off Mother Theresa, a hitherto unheard of feat.
Ah, and lastly at left is the outside environs of The Blue Terrapin, what drew us to Etown in the first place. There are three simple pleasures in life: beer, fried food, and good music. If you fancy hanging out in a living room type atmosphere with a potent brew, some chicken fingers, and Wooster Sang in the midst of a soaring improvisation, then the Terrapin is for you. This photo is actually descending the staircase from the upper floors of the Terrapin where one of the club's proprietors, Art, let's us crash. Lovely rooms, we caught a possum in there one night and had a great late night snack.
