Historic Blue Star in Lancaster, PA &
Radio Station Interview:
Franklin & Marshall College WFNM 89.1FM
February 6th, 1999
In our travels to rural PA, we hooked up with a band called Nothing But Oregano. Here's a couple of pic's of them. From left to right, we have Sam, Jeff, and Clay. I'll preface my next comment by telling you that, yes, I am a drummer and perhaps a bit biased, but the two most important musicians in the band, drummer Jason and percussionist Dave, are obscured in these photos. We never get any respect.
We've done a few gigs with these guys and have enjoyed our time with them. They have some groovy originals and pull some surprising covers out of their hat...or should I say spice rack. Ask them about The Jackson Five. We look forward to more collaborations in our individual musical evolutions. Look for their new CD coming out shortly and hopefully we can get the boys to NYC as they have been so kind in facilitating our arrival on their home turf.
The Oregano package comes with two fine sound engineers, Kais and Mike(right). Whether it be at The Blue Terrapin in Etown or the Historic Blue Star in Lancaster, these guys have always been helpful and amenable when working out the logistics of a double bill. In fact, if anybody knows two guys like this who are available and want to take a leap of faith financially, please let us know.

At left is the band during our interview at WFNM, 89.1 with DJ Colin(l to r Peter, Craig, Colin, Racine, Steve). This station is Franklin and Marshall College's home on the air waves and makes a great stop when we're in Lancaster, right down the street from The Blue Star. Colin is also one of probably three individuals on the face of the planet, myself included, who has seen the egregiously horrid film "The Night of the Lepus", a movie about giant man-eating rabbits which features bargain basement special effects and a stunning performance by DeForrest Kelley. If anyone can tell us what Mr. Kelley's most famous role was, you will win a free CD!! Joe Tiberius, are you out there?
Lastly, here's a somewhat banal shot of The Blue Star, but what the hell, we'll include it. It looks like folks are having a good time, doesn't it? Seriously, this places has good food, the beer is flowin', and there is a nice rustic atmosphere...and it's rockin', especially when there's a Wooster in the house.
